Does it handle commercial curtain wall and storefront?
Partially. For stick curtain wall and commercial storefront up to moderate complexity, Doorwin handles it end-to-end. For fully bespoke unitised curtain wall over 4m height, the software produces the design and specification, but structural engineering sits outside — you'll still coordinate with a façade engineer for L/175 deflection and full structural sign-off.
Can I customise which manufacturers appear?
Yes. The default library shows the common systems in your region — curated to avoid specification-section bloat. You can add preferred local manufacturers (or your office's standard specifications) and mark some as 'approved' vs 'proprietary specifications'. Useful for practices with standardised spec templates.
Does it output tender-ready product data?
Yes. Every specified window has a downloadable Product Data Sheet (PDS) with all relevant performance data, drawings, and certification references. Attach directly to the tender pack — saves the contractor having to chase manufacturer technical departments for the same data.
